Police: Man charged in Central Falls shooting
PAWTUCKET, R.I. —
A Pawtucket man was charged with felony assault with a dangerous weapon in connection with a shooting in Central Falls on March 20.
Police said 20-year-old Addison Brito was arraigned in District Court on Monday. He was ordered held on a previous felony assault charge.
Police said Brito and another man got into an argument, which escalated into a fight between several people. Police said at one point Brito took out a gun and fired several shots hitting the man in the leg.
Detectives gathered enough evidence and were able to get an arrest warrant for Brito.
He was placed under arrest by Pawtucket police over the weekend for driving with a suspended license and then turned over to Central Falls police.
