Police: Special needs child's iPad has been found

Coventry police said a man and a woman took an iPad from a special needs child at a WalMart store.

A Coventry family should be getting their missing iPad back Tuesday.

The tablet belongs to a special needs child who police said is non-verbal and uses the device to communicate.

On July 23, when the child and his caregiver were at the Walmart store on Centre of New England Blvd., they left the iPad in a shopping cart.

Police told NBC 10 that when they stepped away, a woman put her bag over the iPad and wheeled the cart away.

Now it has been learned that a woman notified police that someone in her family had found the device.
