Police: Woman has arm run over during carjacking

Police say a 66-year-old woman had her arm run over during a carjacking on North Main Street in Fall River.

A woman had her arm run over by a car during a carjacking in Fall River, police said Thursday.

Police said a 66-year-old woman was standing outside her vehicle on North Main Street at about 8:45 a.m. when a man jumped into the driver's seat. She attempted to grab him to pull him out of the car when the man put the car in reverse.

The woman was knocked to the ground and her arm was run over as the man drove off.

Police said the woman was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Police said they are looking for a bald white man, about 35-years-old and 5 feet 11 inches tall. Police said he was last seen traveling west on President Avenue driving a 2012 Gray Kia Soul with Massachusetts registration 766-XX4.
