Proposed changes to RI's career & technical education

New legislation could change Rhode island's{}career and technical education.

A portion of the RI Senate's "Rhode to Work" initiative will be heard by the Senate Committee on Education on Wednesday, June 11.

"The Career Technical Education Re-Imagined Act," introduced by Sen. Roger A. Picard (D-Dist. 20, Woonsocket, Cumberland) authorizes the Board of Education to re-iwork the approach to career and technical education, statewide and to implement up to two model sites and appropriate funding for one-time start-up costs.
