Police: Baby hospitalized after locked in car for 2 hours
NEWPORT, R.I. —
A 6-month-old baby was considered in serious condition after it was in a parked car for at least two hours on Friday in Newport, police told NBC 10.
Police said the baby was initially treated at Newport Hospital and then transported to Hasbro Children's Hospital.
According to police, the car was parked at 156 Park Holm and had an internal temperature of 120 degrees. The baby's body temperature was more than 105 degrees.
Police told NBC 10, the baby's father said he forgot the baby was in the car.
According to police, the baby's condition was considered "serious."
No charges have been filed.
