A large brush fire in Westerly that fire officials said burned about 20 acres is being considered suspicious.
About 100 firefighters from at 12 departments were called in Friday to battle the fire about a mile-and-a-half in the woods down Woody Hill Road Extension.
The fire burned about 20 acres in the Woody Hill Management Area.
The fire was reported at about noon and it took nearly an hour to get to the flames after trying to access the site from several different locations.
Fire crews laid more than 1,000 feet of hose, and had to call for ATVs since fire trucks were unable to get to the site.
Crews battled the fire for nearly six hours.
The nearest homes were more than a mile away from the fire and weren't in any danger.
