RI beats Conn. to make Little League World Series

The Cumberland American Little League team beats Connecticut to advance to the 2014 Little League World Series.

You can call it a comeback.

The Cumberland American Little League team beat Fairfield, Connecticut - the same team they lost to on a walk-off home run earlier in the week - by a final of 10-6 to advance Saturday and represent New England in the 2014 Little League World Series.

Trailing 5-3 in the bottom of the 4th inning, Rhode Island sent 14 batters to the plate as part of a five-run rally to take the lead for good.

Mason Matos had a home run while Christopher Davock and Jayden Struble each added three hits. Nick Croteau picked up the win.{}

This is Rhode Island's first trip back to the LLWS since 2011.
