The Rhode Island Association of Realtors released home price and sales information for the month of July, 2014.
Sales activity fell three percent when compared to July 2013; the average sale price for a single family home was up, less than one percent.
Condominium prices did better, up eight percent over last year; multi-family home prices rose nine percent.
However, the number of sales in both areas dropped from 2013.
According to trend information provided by Corelogic, Rhode Island has made progress in reducing the number of distressed home sales, since the housing downturn.
