A Rhode Island man mauled by a grizzly bear in Alaska could be home soon.

John Matson Sr. told NBC 10 on Tuesday that if his son, John Matson Jr., gets the OK from doctors, he should be arriving at Logan Airport on Wednesday afternoon.

The younger Matson was attacked by the bear during a guided bear hunt with a group of friends. He suffered bites to his head and leg.
