Second man arraigned in Cranston beating death

Police say Reyes-Sanchez and Carlos Rios beat Victor Baez and then ran him over with their car.

A second suspect was arraigned Thursday in the beating death of a Cranston man and ordered held without bail.

Police say Carlos Rios is charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the death of Victor Baez. Rios had been serving time in Massachusetts on unrelated charges.

Police said Rios and two other men ambushed Baez, 49, outside his home in Cranston on Jan. 30, 2012, beat him and ran over him with a car.

Police in January charged another suspect, Carlos Reyes-Sanchez, in Florida, where he was working as a personal trainer. He is being held at the Adult Correctional Institution.
