The world's most expensive city is Singapore, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit's latest Worldwide Cost of Living survey.
In fact transportation costs in Singapore are nearly three times higher than in New York. The second most expensive city is Paris, followed by Oslo, Norway.
No U.S. cities made the Top 10 list. Others on the 'most expensive' list were Zurich, Switzerland; Sydney, Australia; Caracas, Venezuela; Geneva, Switzerland; Melbourne, Australia; Tokyo; and rounding out the Top 10 was Copenhagen, Denmark.
