SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. — South County Hospital in Wakefield has earned an 'A' Hospital Safety Score from the Leapfrog Group, a nationally-recognized healthcare advocacy non-profit. South County is the only hospital in Rhode Island to earn the rating for a full year. Kent Hospital was also rewarded an 'A' Hospital Safety Score for Spring 2014.Ratings are based on preventable medical errors, injuries, accidents and infections. The Leapfrog Group offers the assessments to give the public information they can use to protect themselves and their families.
