'Stink bug' invasion highest in years

      Wikipedia

It's a record year for stink bugs.

Pest control companies report they're getting calls at an alarming rate, a 60-percent increase, over last year.

The insects get into homes through cracks and crevices so experts recommend double checking outside and sealing up any openings with caulk or silicone.

The bugs are not dangerous to humans, but can wreak havoc on crops and plants.

The name comes about because they do 'stink' when squashed or threatened.
