Stolen painting returned to restaurant
CRANSTON, R.I. —
A painting that was stolen from a Cranston restaurant has been returned.
Surveillance video showed a woman sliding a painting up the back of her shirt during the St. Mary's Feast at 39 West Restaurant.
The restaurant owner told NBC 10 that Cranston police have returned the painting to him. The owner is not pressing charges.
Police did not provide any information on how they recovered the painting, which is worth about $500.
