Students do restoration work at library

Students at Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School have taken part in some hands-on learning, repairing and restoring woodwork at the Swansea Public Library.

According to The Herald News, the students spent five days working on the library's dark oak paneling.

The woodwork had been damaged by a leak in the roof.

Students are also working to restore an 11-foot conference table that likely dates back to the library's original opening more than 100 years ago.

After more than a century's worth of wear, the table needs some machine work and a new coat of stain.
