      Sunday Brunch: Cinnamon Donut Muffins

      Cinnamon Donut Muffins

      Makes about 20 small donuts

      {}

      1/2 cup sugar

      1/4 cup of melted butter

      1/2 tsp. grated nutmeg

      2/3 cup of milk

      1 tsp. baking powder

      1 cup sifted all-purpose flour

      For dusting sugar:

      {}

      1/4 cup melted butter

      1/2 cup sugar

      1 tsp. ground cinnamon

      {}

      Method of preparation.

      {}

      1. Preheat an oven to 350 degrees.
      2. Using a pan spray lightly coat a mini muffin tin.
      3. In a bowl, mix the butter, sugar and nutmeg and beat until well blended.
      4. Stir in the milk then the baking powder then the flour and whisk until a smooth batter is formed.
      5. Fill the mini muffin cups about half full and bake until golden about 15-18 min.
      6. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5-6 min then remove the muffins.
      7. Mix the remaining sugar and cinnamon in a bowl, quickly dip each muffin in the melted butter then roll in the cinnamon sugar to coat evenly.
      8. Then watch these disappear.
