Tech This Out: Belkin Chef Stand and Stylus
I am no culinary master. But I have the Internet. I have Pinterest and you do too. So let's face it there are endless amounts of fantastic recipes at our fingertips.
It's really annoying when your fingertips are covered in food. Make that fingertips, hands and possibly your face (if you cook like me) you are covered in food. Just when you need to see the next step in the delicious recipe, the screen goes dark. The agony!
You don't want to get your phone or iPad messy, but you've probably done it anyway because washing your hands is just too time consuming. Then you have to face a big smudge of goo on your tablet for the rest of the evening.
Well, not any more.
Belkin has the answer to all of your problems, at least involving these matters.
It's the Chef Stand and Stylus. Its kitchen safe and made for use with messy hands.
The stand has a non-slip rubber base and you can put your iPad on two different ways. It is meant for iPads but a tablet under 1/2 an inch thick will fit.
The Stylus says "bring on the messy hands!" You can put it in the no-slip stand or on the counter top. It's an odd shape so it won't roll off the counter as easy. It has some weight to it, but not bad once you get cooking.
When tapping on the screen I found it a little difficult at first. When scrolling, no problems what so ever, I found the Stylus smooth and easy to use.
After you're done, the Stylus and base are hand washable. Just clean off the gunk with soap and warm water.
The stand and stylus are ready right out of the box. No charging or syncing required.
You can find the Belkin Chef Stand and Stylus for $40 at AT&T.
