Tech This Out-Galaxy S 3 Mini

While most smart phones are getting bigger, Samsung is giving you another option in their Galaxy line with the Galaxy S III Mini.

I've been addicted to the Galaxy Note 3 which is a huge phone, but having the Mini is a nice twist. It fits nicely in your hand and when compared to the Galaxy S 4 and the iPhone, it is smaller.

Before we start I'd like to say, if you're new to smart phones. This is a great option. It's a perfect starter smart phone for teens or adults that are just learning to grasp the idea of a smart phone. It's not the highest quality screen or resolution but you really can't beat the price.

So here are the specs. It measures 4.8 inches by 2.5 inches and only weighs 4 ounces. It's small enough to slide into a pocket or a clutch purse.

The display is 800 by 480 pixels which is OK. It comes with all of the major features and apps that the Galaxy line is known for. It also has S Voice so you can tell your phone what to do.

The camera is decent for such a little guy. It's a solid 5 mega-pixel rear camera with an LED flash. There's a front facing VGA camera that does what it needs to do the selfie and video chat fans.

You'll get four filters and some fun editing tools like on other galaxy phones. Reading other reviews online, complaints included that the camera is slow.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini delivers Android 4.2, 4G LTE and has NFC.

{}In CNET's battery testing, they found a talk time of up to 11 hours.

Again the quality isn't TOP of the line, but for some people this will be a great phone. The{}Mini{}sells for under{}a dollar at AT&T with a 2 year contract.
