Teen charged as adult in Providence fatal shooting

A 17-year-old Providence boy is being charged as an adult for his alleged role in the death of another 17-year-old who was shot through the window of his girlfriend's home.

Robert Winston was arraigned Friday on charges of murder, conspiracy and discharge of a firearm while committing a crime of violence. He is being held without bail.

Four young men have already been charged with murder and conspiracy in connection with the Feb. 4 death of high school student George Holland II.

Police have said they don't believe the shooting was random.

The older suspects are 18-year-old Alain Bedame of Pawtucket, 19-year-old Limamou Ndoye of Providence, 21-year-old Anthony Moore of Woonsocket, and 18-yeawr-old Ashner Alexis, whose address isn't known.

It wasn't clear Friday who is representing the five suspects.
