ATTLEBORO, Mass. — An older black and white photo of the sailor kissing a nurse is believed to be the most popular photo seen in the United States. Some also know it as "the photo that ended World War II." Some believe it gives Memorial Day an even stronger meaning. In 2012, a book titled "The Kissing Sailor" was published detailing the story behind photo. On Monday, NBC 10's Bill Rappleye met the real kissing sailor to get his take on the famous photo.
