Two burned bodies found in remains of tent in Brockton
BROCKTON, Mass. —
The bodies of two individuals were found in a wooded area off Mulberry Street in Brockton Monday according to the Plymouth County District Attorney's office.
Late Monday afternoon police received a call concerning the discovery of two bodies in the woods. The Brockton Police and the Brockton Fire Department responded to the scene. The Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office were notified and also responded to the scene.
Both bodies, which were found in the burnt remains of a tent, appeared to have suffered significant burns according to officials. There will be an autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause and manner of death, as well as, the identity of the two individuals.
At this point, the Plymouth County District Attorney's says foul play in not suspected. The matter remains under investigation by the State Police Detective assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office, the Brockton Police Department and the State Fire Marshall's Office.
