'The Voice' returns Monday night on NBC

Usher, Shakira, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton of "The Voice"

"The Voice" returns for a new season Monday night on NBC with two new coaches.

Shakira and Usher replace Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera, who are concentrating of their music careers during this season. Blake Shelton and Adam Levine are back.

"I was a little bit intimidated and nervous," said Shakira. "After the first 15 minutes, I was comfortable in my own skin. And I knew what I had to do."

R&B star Usher also announced his presence with authority.

"They really do make it easy to come in there and just have fun doing it. But this is serious," he said.

Shelton told People magazine that the new judges "came out swinging." He said this season "the fight will be every bit as good as it was before." He said "there are a lot of jabs that get thrown around."

The new season of "The Voice" kicks off at 8 p.m. on NBC 10 with blind auditions.
