Providence police say they have a suspect in custody following a Sunday morning triple stabbing.
Officers responded to 41 Health Street, off Academy Avenue, at around 12:30 a.m. Upon arrival, police say they found two victims stabbed multiple times in the center of the street. They're both in stable condition.
A third victim who was driven to the hospital is currently listed in critical condition.
Police tell NBC 10 that the incident began when the suspect's girlfriend became involved in a verbal altercation with another party. The suspect, now identified as 21-year-old George Raymond of Providence, took a baseball bat and began beating the victims before stabbing the group.
The suspect was positively identified a short time after and taken into the custody of Providence Police.
