Three rescued from Portsmouth waters after boat sinks early Sunday morning

The Coast Guard tells NBC 10 three boaters were pulled from Portsmouth waters early Sunday morning. Emergency calls came in around 2:30 a.m. for a vessel in distress in Weaver Cove. Once the Coast Guard attempted to make contact with the boat through radio communication, they learned the boat was disabled. The 22-foot Bayliner began to take on water and started to sink once rescue crews arrived on-scene. The three individuals were brought to the Portsmouth Police Department and evaluated by emergency rescue crews. All three were released shortly after with no serious injuries.
