Westport traffic stop leads to heroin bust

Westport police arrested two men carrying bags of heroin.

Following a several week investigation into drug activity, Westport officers were able to stop a vehicle carrying the drug suspects. They were pulled over for failing to stop at a stop sign.

During the traffic stop, officers searched Christopher Lord, 29 of Westport and Joshua Jordan, 29 of Westport, and found 10 bags of heroin.

Upon an additional search, another 130 bags of heroin were found inside the 2002 Nissan Maxima.

Lord and Jordan were arrested and charged with Possession of a Class A substance (heroin) with the Intent to Distribute and Conspiracy to Violate the drug Laws.

The car and some cash found on the suspects were seized by police.

The street value of the heroin is approximately $1,100.
