Consumer Reports has released its rankings for the best supermarkets in the U.S. and two east coast chains top the list.
According to the consumer survey Wegmans came in at Number 1 followed by Trader Joe's, Publix and Costco.
All three top supermarkets received high marks for service and cleanliness.
Walmart Supercenters had the 55th ranking. The chain ranked dead last from the customers. They tended to cite slow checkout speeds and poor food quality.
According to consumer reports, the average American shopper visits the grocery store about 88 times per year and spends more than $6,000 per year on food.
