There is a consumer alert to pass along to you about meat sold at Whole Foods.
Fruitland American Meat is recalling about 4,000 pounds of fresh beef products including cuts of ribeye.
Officials say certain parts of the cow were not removed prior to packaging, therefore putting people at risk for exposure to mad cow disease.
However officials said none of the cows slaughtered showed any indication of the disease.
The meat was packaged between September of last year and April of this year.
The meat was processed by the Whole Foods distribution center in Connecticut which serves stores across New England.
