Woonsocket man ordered held without bail in girlfriend's killing
A Woonsocket man facing a murder charge stemming from the death of his girlfriend was ordered held without bail Wednesday.
Emmanuel Algaria was arraigned in Providence Superior Court.
Authorities say Algaria severely beat Catherine Salvi in their apartment Dec. 13. Salvi 24, spent about three weeks in a coma before dying at the hospital on Jan. 5.
Algaria is also facing drug charges.
