Connect to Capitol: DMV settlement, poll shows 60% of taxpayers favor free tuition plan
NBC 10's Dan Jaehnig speaks to Gov. Gina Raimondo about how Rhode Island has reached a settlement in its lawsuit against the company building a new computer system for the state Division of Motor Vehicles.
The governor also discussed a new poll released by the Bryant University Hassenfeld Institute for Public Leadership, which revealed that 60 percent of Rhode Island taxpayers agree with her proposal for free tuition.
But while 61.7 percent think it should be based on a family's ability to pay, 80 percent agree there should be a grade point average requirement.
