App aims to connect users with everything Providence has to offer
Finding things to do in Providence is about to get easier thanks to a new app called Providence2GO.
Roger Williams University and a digital company Loud-Hailer are launching a 10-month pilot program to test the app.
The mobile app will connect users with businesses and organizations based on where they are in the city.
"The idea is that users don't have to do constant searches of 'what's near me' or 'what's nearby' and hope that their search provides relevant results," Jack Chen, co-founder and chief executive officer, said in a news release.
Providence will be the first in the country to use the new technology.
