Strike over for valet employees at Twin River Casino
LINCOLN, R.I. (WJAR) —
Employees at Twin River Casino who were on strike were back on the job Sunday.
According to Twin River spokeswoman Patti Doyle, the valet union returned to work at 7 am Sunday.
Doyle added that Twin River had a very busy and successful two nights of business. It was the same amount of business and revenue as Twin River did for the exact weekend last year, said Doyle.
Messages left for the valet workers' union were not immediately returned.
Valet workers had been out on the picket line since Friday afternoon. The workers are unionized but say they aren't getting a fair deal when it comes to their health benefits.
