Free wedding gowns for brides after Alfred Angelo closes doors
From Thursday, until Monday, July 24 - brides can get a free wedding dress.
Owner of bridal and prom discount warehouse and Alexandra's Bridal Boutique in Fall River - Joel Benson - told NBC 10 he feels terrible for the brides who have been affected by the closure late last week of Alfred Angelo.
More than 1,400 stores shut down - as a result of a bankruptcy filing.
That left brides without gowns and bridesmaids dresses.
Benson says all they need to do is bring in paperwork from Alfred Angelo and they can choose a gown of up to $500.
The only purchase necessary is a veil.
"We've been in business for 31 years we're blessed why not reach out when people need it the most. A wedding is stressful as it is, if we can help that a little bit and get them into a free dress, well that's what we want to do."
Again, the first day of the give-away is July 20th - this Thursday.
The stores will be extending their hours and open from noon until 8 p.m. on Thursday
