The Rhode Island Airport Corp. said Tuesday that Frontier Airlines will expand service to six additional cities from T.F. Green Airport in Warwick.

Frontier said it will introduce service to Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham in North Carolina; Miami, Tampa, and Fort Myers in Florida; and New Orleans. Introductory fares will start at $39.

Frontier's flights to Florida and New Orleans will begin in October. The airline will begin flying the two routes to North Carolina in the spring. (See frequency of flights.)

The new destinations are in addition to two already announced.

The Rhode Island Airport Corp. announced in May that Frontier would offer daily non-stop flights to Denver and Orlando, Florida, starting Aug. 14.
