Home where Lizzy Borden lived after murder acquittal sold
The Fall River home where Lizzie Borden lived after she was acquitted of the ax murders of her father and stepmother sold this week to the owner of the home where the infamous murder took place.
Maplecroft, located at 306 French St., sold for $600,000 to Donald Woods. Woods is the owner of Borden’s childhood home, which is now a bed and breakfast. Woods plans to do the same with Maplecroft.
Maplecroft was purchased by Borden and her sister Emma in 1893 and Borden lived there until her death in 1927.
