Police search for robbery, stabbing suspect in Fall River
Police are searching for a suspect they say stabbed and robbed a man in Fall River Saturday morning.
The 39-year-old male victim was found in the area of South Main Street and Dwelly Street just after 2 a.m. Police say they believe the stabbing actually happened in the area of 250 East Main Street.
Police say the victim was walking with a woman when a man approached them from behind, pulled a knife out and demanded the victim’s wallet.
Police say the victim did give the suspect his wallet and then a fight ensued leading to the victim be stabbed in the lower torso. He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital and is in stable condition.
The suspect fled on foot. He is described as a black male, clean shaven, between 5’9”- 5’11” tall and weighing around 165 pounds.
