Police: Seekonk 911 phone system operational again after repairs
The Seekonk Police Department on Tuesday announced that its 911 phone system at the Public Safety Complex is fully operational again after an equipment failure.
"All systems have been tested with the State 911 Department and we are back in full operation at this time," according to a press release.
Police previously reported that the Communications Department worked with the Massachusetts State 911 Department and the system’s vendor to correct the problem.
We would like to thank the community for their understanding as well as our partners at Rehoboth PD for their assistance,police said, as 911 calls originating from within the Town of Seekonk were rerouted to their alternate answering point at Rehoboth Police Department.
