Braley Hill Road in Rochester was blocked off for several hours on Tuesday night after authorities received reports about shots fired in the area.

NBC 10 News was at the scene and learned that there was an apparent death, however, police would not say anything about what happened.

Around 10 p.m., a van from the state medical examiner's office left the scene, which typically indicates there was a fatality.

Police radio transmissions specified that officers responded to a report about a person who possibly had several guns and that shots were fired.

“He's got a firearm. I got one at gun point. Shots fired. Shots fired,” was heard over the police dispatch transmission, with the response, “Roger. Control received. Shots fired.”

Drone footage shows about six police vehicles near a home on Braley Hill Road, which is located near the intersection of North Avenue.

Rochester police were at the scene, while Massachusetts State Police are also involved in the investigation.

NBC 10 was told that the police chief would not provide any information, and that any information would come from the Plymouth County District Attorney's office. Yet, a reporter’s messages to them have not been returned.
