No school Friday in Foster-Glocester amid storm cleanup
Schools in the Foster-Glocester school district were closed Friday as storm cleanup continued in the area.
Heidi Rogers, who is the Emergency Management Agency director, told NBC 10 News that there are too many trees and power lines down, making travel unsafe for children on buses.
Despite downed trees and live wires, Rogers noted that the school buildings have power.
Meanwhile, thousands of other Southern New Englanders were still without power Friday afternoon.
National Grid said about 3,150 customers in Rhode Island had no electricity.
In Bristol County, Massachusetts, National Grid was working to restore power to about 400 homes and businesses.
Eversource said handful of customers in Bristol County had no power.
