Victim identified in fatal Warwick motorcycle accident

Warwick police have identified the victim in a fatal accident Saturday night between a motorcycle and a car.

The accident happened around 6:30 p.m. in the area of 61 Airport Road.

The victim was identified as 48-year-old John Bouley, of Warwick, he was transported to Rhode Island Hospital were he later pronounced deceased.

According to police, the motorcyclist was traveling westerly on Airport Road when a motor vehicle cut into his lane of travel causing a collision.

The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet.

Speed and distracted driving do not appear to be factors.

Police say the motorist, James Miller, 30, of Warwick, will not be criminally charged. Police did say that civil violations are pending.

The Warwick Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the accident.
