Man charged in Woonsocket crash that killed woman, teenager

A Central Falls man was arrested in a double fatal accident in Woonsocket that claimed the life of a woman and a teenager.

Michael Beaucage, 59, who was arraigned in court on Thursday, faced the following charges:

  • Two counts of driving to endanger, death resulting
  • Driving under the influence
  • Driving on a suspended license

Woonsocket police responded to a single car crash near Mendon Road just before 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found four people in the car. Three of them were transported to Landmark Medical Center, while a fourth was taken to Hasbro Children's Hospital.

Two of the passengers, Marsha Crowley, 59, and a 13-year-old boy, both of Central Falls, died at the hospital. A 10-year-old boy, who is also from Central Falls, as well as Beaucage, suffered minor injuries.

Police said the crash remains under investigation.
