URI fans gather at Arooga's in Warwick
WARWICK, R.I. (WJAR) —
Fans of URI's Men's College Basketball team watched the Ram's magical season come to a disappointing end Sunday night at an official watch party.
Students, alumni, and fans of all ages, packed into Arooga's Grille House and Sports Bar in Warwick to watch the Rams take on the Oregon Ducks.
The game was a second round matchup in the NCAA tournament known as "March Madness."
The final score was Oregon 75 - URI 72, but some loyal fans refuse to hang their heads.
"You have to take the good with the bad. Win or lose you have to be proud of your team," said 10-year-old URI fan, Matthew Rodrigues.
There was also disappointment at an official watch party held on URI's campus.
