Alaska Airlines erases Virgin America brand

Alaska Airlines is scrubbing all signs of Virgin America. Alaska bought Virgin America and will merge all branding to Alaska beginning Wednesday. That means all websites, apps and signs at airports will say Alaska Airlines.

A new report from Javelin Strategy & Research says kids are establishing online footprints earlier and earlier, which helps identity thieves gain access to their information. Digitization of school and medical records assists as well. Experts advise parents to routinely check their children's credit scores and freeze accounts if there is suspicious activity.
Home prices are on an epic run. The Case Shiller Home Price Index says prices in the U.S. were up an average of 6 percent over the last year, mostly because there is a shortage of homes for sale.
The rise of "fake news" is producing a record number of journalism majors. Universities such as Columbia saw a 10 percent increase in journalism applications. Northwestern had a 24 percent increase, and the University of Southern California Journalism School saw its highest ever number of first year applicants.
