CVS closes in on deal for Aetna

CVS is closing in on a deal to buy Aetna. A $6 billion offer could be announced Monday, according to the Wall Street Journal. A tie-up with Aetna could give CVS more leverage in its price negotiations with drug makers.
Tax reform hit a snag Thursday night and the vote was delayed. The problem is lowering corporate taxes to 20 percent, which is what President Trump has pushed for since the campaign. The hope, by most on Wall Street at least, is that they will work all that out and pass it Friday.
When it comes to bosses, Americans no long prefer a man. A new Gallup survey says 55 percent of Americans say their boss's gender make no difference to them. There has been an abrupt shift since 2014 and Gallup says the string of sexual harassment scandals may have made a difference.
For the first time, a movie studio has made more than $5 billion at the worldwide box office three years in a row. Walt Disney Studios has hit that mark with a month left in the year and a "Star Wars" movie still to come. But this year's box office is slightly down compared to last year.
