LG hikes washing machine prices because of Trump tariffs

Prices of washers and dryers could go up $50. LG Electronics says it will raise prices following President Donald Trump's approval this week of tariffs on washing machines. Trump slapped the tariff on washing machines to keep super cheap overseas machines from hurting American manufacturers.
Nearly $800 million worth of opioids were illegally sold to online customers in the United States over the past two years. The New York Times says a Senate report found Chinese distributors took advantage of internet anonymity and the growth in e-commerce. The American buyers of the illegal drugs lived mostly in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida.
Delta and American have agreed to fly each other's passengers. The new agreement would allow Delta and American to book passengers during storms and other travel disruptions. The decision comes after costly and highly visible travel chaos in recent years, from computer failures to power outages to bad weather.
Quitting smartphones has become the new quitting smoking and some say rules are needed to nudge people away from their devices. The Financial Times reports that people are turning off their notifications, banning smartphones from the bedroom and changing the screen colors to gray on concerns about their mental health.
