Target to launch line of $5 wines
NEW YORK (LilaMax Media) —
The destruction that Harvey will bring is far from clear. Air Worldwide, a risk modeling company, estimates insured losses from just the winds and storm surge could reach more than $2.3 billion. The analytics firm Corelogic says Harvey could cause as much as $40 billion total in damage, which is enough to make it one of the costliest hurricanes to ever hit the United States with only Katrina and Sandy costing more.
Whenever there is a disaster like Harvey, the scammers come out. There are three common ways fraudsters take advantage at times like this. Watch out for sham rental listings for people flooded out of their homes, repair scams that take your money but do little or no repair work, and bogus charities that promise to help hurricane-ravaged areas but just keep the money instead.
Perfumania is the latest victim of sluggish mall traffic. It will close 64 stores and turn its attention to online sales. It did not release the list of stores to close.
Target is going after Costco and Trader Joe's with $5 wine. The California Roots wine line is part of a new branding initiative for the store, that also includes new clothing and furniture lines. The $5 wines include five different blends, both red and white. California Roots wines launch at over 1,100 Target stores nationwide on Sept. 3.
