Civil arrest warrant lifted for RI gubernatorial candidate
A civil arrest warrant for Rhode Island gubernatorial candidate Giovanni Feroce has been cancelled.
Troubled businessman Giovanni Feroce, who became a multi-millionaire when he helped grow Alex and Ani into a huge company, was the subject of a court-ordered arrest, which is called a ‘body attachment,” for failing to show up at a debt-related court hearing.
But on Friday night, he told NBC 10 News that he reached a "payment plan" with Broeder Brothers to repay $8,000 of debt. He would not elaborate on the terms of the repayment or where or how that took place.
Craig Berke, who is a judiciary spokesman, confirmed that the order was lifted.
