Foot fracture sidelines Patrice Bergeron
The Boston Bruins said Tuesday that forward Patrice Bergeron will be sidelined for at least two weeks with a fractured right foot.
The Bruins said the injury occurred when Bergeron blocked a shot while playing the Maple Leafs in Toronto on Saturday.
Bergeron played against Buffalo on Sunday, but the team said he was in discomfort.
The Bruins said an initial X-ray was negative, but a CT scan revealed a small fracture.
General Manager Don Sweeney said in a news release that Bergeron will be evaluated in two weeks.
