Patriots star Danny Amendola visits Bryant, says he wants to stay in New England
New England Patriots star Danny Amendola visited Bryant University Tuesday to moderate a Q&A session at the Chace Athletic and Wellness Center.
While there, he spoke to students about his experience with the Patriots and what it takes to play and win with character at the championship level.
He also highlighted the importance of perseverance and grit, character, as well as community service.
Amendola, who is set to be a free agent this year, discussed his future with the Patriots, noting that he wants to stay with the team.
"To tell you the truth, I don't want to leave," he said. "But, you know, I mean, it's a business and I've learned that the hard way."
Students made it clear they want him to stay put.
"Don't leave," a few yelled from the crowd.
Amendola said while quarterback Tom Brady is his role model on the field, tight end Rob Gronkowski is his role model off the field.
