Gymnast Aly Raisman, a Needham native, comes forward with abuse allegations
Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman of Needham, Massachusetts, told CBS' "60 Minutes" that she was sexually abused by the former national team doctor, Larry Nassar.
CBS said the report will be broadcast Sunday night.
Raisman, now 23, said she was first treated by Nassar when she was 15.
Raisman said she spoke to the FBI about Nassar when she returned from the Olympic Games in Rio.
USA Gymnastics has been rocked by accusations of sexual misconduct against Nassar, who was the team doctor from 1996 to 2015.
Nassar is in jail in Michigan awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography.
He's also awaiting trial on separate criminal sexual conduct charges and has been sued by more than 125 women alleging abuse under the guise of treatment. Nassar pleaded not guilty to the assault charges.
USA Gymnastics in June adopted a Safe Sport Policy that replaced the previous policy. Key updates include mandatory reporting, defining six types of misconduct, setting standards to prohibit grooming behavior, prevent inappropriate interaction and establishing accountability.
