Samuel Adams announces multiyear deal with Red Sox

Brewer Samuel Adams said Tuesday that it has been named the official beer of the Boston Red Sox.

The company said the partnership will begin in January and run for several years.

The deal includes two Sam Adams "experiential" bar areas at Fenway Park to be called the Sam Deck and Sammy's on Third.

Fans will also see new signage and have the chance to try new Sam Adams brews.

Sam Adams also gets the opportunity to advertise at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers and other venues in New England.

“Both the Red Sox and Sam Adams are rooted in Boston tradition and history, and (Samuel Adams founder) Jim Koch and the entire team are as passionate about beer as we are about baseball,” said Red Sox President and CEO Sam Kennedy in a news release.

Samuel Adams said the deal marks its first large-scale partnership with a professional team.
